Studio Waist Length

A little bit more room

Some people find headshots a bit too personal as every little detail in their face is shown.  That can provoke a feeling of fear and rejection as some absolutely unfounded insecurities rapidly rise to the surface.  We all, myself included, have bits of our faces that we are not too keen on, certainly in my own case it’s my nose.  In reality, other people do not see us in the same way, and are nowhere near so critical.  Part of my job is to help you see that, but also give you some alternatives, like waist and three quarter length portraits.  They give you increasing amounts of space and distance from the camera and the resulting image is not quite so forensic.
