Corporate headshots – portraits for business people

I like to keep things simple, it’s how I live my life.  No complications, no stress.  That’s why I see corporate headshots as no more than another form of portrait, but for businesses not individuals. Business headshots are headshots for professionals.  The only difference relates to the corporate appearance of the images to fit the company’s image.  Black background – no problem.  White background – no problem. Coloured background – yes, I can do that too.  Shots around the workplace – again, no problem.

Your place is best

A huge difference between a standard portrait shoot and corporate headshots is likely to be the number of subjects involved.  Whilst I am quite happy to photograph  one or two people to update role changes or the like, it might be that the company wants to produce a new look for their corporate headshot webpages.  That could well mean photographing a large number of individuals, and that makes me even happier.  Prior to the shoot I’ll need the name and contact details for someone in the company to sort out the finer details.  On the day of the shoot I will need a room to work in with sufficient space for my background, lights and a laptop so I can record names. Oh, and don’t forget the people. Feed them into me and I will crack on taking the images.

When the photography is finished

After the shoot I will pack my gear away and let my contact know that we’re done.  I will ask for the details of someone in the IT or media department so I can go away knowing the format and size requirements of the images.  Then I’ll be off and away to start all of the editing work for your headshots photoshoot.  I will select the best shot for each subject and process those images. They will be dropped in a gallery for your IT staff to download in readiness for adding to your website.  That’s it.  No uneccessary stress or fuss, just good images to showcase your company’s staff.
